Blaupunkt Riviera 2640 (1959)
This radio I took over in Jun 2004. The intention was to collect the oldest type of Riviera but it was a newer type. Blaupunkt made several type of Riviera over the years. This radio was elektrical in poor condition and needed some attantion.
All original capasitors were leaky, 1 resistor lost his value, 3 missing tubes. Unfortunately 1 high tone speaker is still missing.
Remarks;This radio has the known 2 type of amp input, TA and TB. TA for Pick-up and TB for Taperecorder. The button Stereo-F-ant is at selection TB the switch to connect a second amp so you can listen tapes in stereo. At Tuner selction the switch is for selection Ferriet antenne or external anteanne. There are several knops to select the propper tone. At 3D selection the High tone speakers are switched on.
Several Riviera types;There are several types of Riviera made by Blaupunkt. The Riviera H 2154 is the oldest one, 1954, and has only one EL84. The Riviera 2640 has a balance amp 2x EL95. Between 1954 and 1968 there are 6 types; H2154, 2341, 2440, 2540, 2640, Omnimat
